Articling Student Joins Smitiuch Injury Law

Mr. Vic Purewal has joined Smitiuch Injury Law as an articling student to complete the required ten month articling training. Vic’s journey to Smitiuch Injury Law has taken him from Toronto to Lansing, Michigan to Paris, France and then finally back to Toronto. Articling at the firm may even take him to the firm’s office in Brantford, Ontario. His journey to become a lawyer will conclude when he is “called to the bar” in January, 2012.

While articling at Smitiuch Injury Law, Vic will be working under the direct supervision of the firm’s Principal, Mr. Michael Smitiuch.

Vic attended the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, located in Lansing, Michigan, where he successfully obtaining his Juris Doctor. During his three years at Cooley, Vic was a member of the International Law Society. His active participation in school events allowed Vic to travel to Paris and study at the University of Paris where he learned the concepts of International Litigation and International Law. He has successfully fulfilled the requirements the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Prior to attending law school, Vic attended York University where he graduated with a B.A. in Geography.
